My Refuge

As I sit in my cozy home, the wind begins to howl, and the sky turns a deep, ominous gray. The first drops of rain tap against the window, signaling the arrival of the storm. Despite the chaos outside, I feel a deep sense of peace within—a reminder that my true refuge is in God.
Psalm 46:1 comes to mind: "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." No matter how fierce the wind or heavy the rain, I trust in God's protection. It’s easy to be overwhelmed by life’s storms, but Matthew 8:26 reminds us that Jesus can calm any storm with just a word. Sometimes, the storm doesn’t pass as quickly as I’d like, but I’m learning to rest in God’s peace, knowing He’s with me through it all.
As the rain pours down and the wind whips around, I find comfort not just in the shelter of my home but in the unchanging love of God. The storm will pass, but His protection is constant. Today, I’m reminded to rest in His presence and trust in His power. No matter what storms may come, I’m safe in His hands.
