(The story behind the podcast we never planned — and why it matters more than we imagined.)
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but sometimes the most God-ordained things in your life don’t start with a vision board or a five-year plan. Sometimes, they start with a joke between two friends and a whole lot of “Wait, are we really doing this?”
This podcast?
It was born in the middle of one of those conversations.
Andrea and I have been friends for a long time. The kind of long that includes a front-row seat to each other’s glow-ups and breakdowns. The kind of long that’s weathered distance, change, bad decisions, healing seasons, and the slow, steady work of grace.
We’ve seen each other cry over things we swore we’d never cry about again. We’ve seen each other fall flat on our faces, get back up, and (occasionally) trip over the same rock twice, and then show up the third time with a little more wisdom and a whole lot more Jesus.
But more than anything, we’ve talked.
Like, really talked, about everything.
The kind of conversations that bounce between deep theological questions, TikTok audios, unhealed church wounds, church hurt, dating, shame, calling, motherhood, loneliness, forgiveness, purpose, therapy, spiritual warfare, and Target runs that somehow feel like revival.
Some conversations felt like confession. Some felt like a comedy special. All of them? Safe, sacred, and healing.
And one day — mid-convo, probably with greasy hair and no real plan — one of us said:
“We should do this more often.”
And that was it. A throwaway phrase. A half-serious, half-sarcastic comment.
But it stuck.
Because we weren’t just talking about catching up more. Not just the talking. The truth-telling.
The wrestling with our faith out loud.
The sacred mess of figuring things out with someone who doesn’t flinch when you say the hard thing. Unedited ones. The kind that don’t tie up with a bow but still somehow bring peace. The kind that feel like a deep exhale after a long season of holding your breath.
Over time, that little phrase became a seed.
God watered it quietly. Gently. Without pressure.
Until it grew into something we couldn’t ignore.

Here’s the thing: we didn’t set out to be podcasters. We didn’t sit down with microphones and a business plan and a list of guests. Honestly, we sat down with a laptop, a lot of prayer, and the hope that someone out there might need to hear what we wish someone had told us.
But here’s what no one tells you: starting a podcast when you’re not an expert in anything but showing up as yourself? It feels vulnerable. You wonder if people will listen. You wonder if you’ll say too much. You wonder if your story is worth sharing.
But God doesn’t need polished.
He needs willing.
And that, we had.
And so we said yes.
We started recording, not from a fancy studio, with Amazon microphones and zero chill. We hit “record” with our hearts pounding and our outlines scribbled in half-finished notebooks.
What we’re doing with this podcast is simple:
We’re pulling back the curtain on our lives and inviting you in. Not as experts. Not as influencers. Just as two women who love Jesus, love people, and are willing to talk about the real stuff.
Because somewhere along the way, we realized something important: The world doesn’t need more polished Christians. It needs more honest ones.

And if we can be that for someone — even just one woman listening on her commute or folding laundry — then it’s worth it.
That’s where We Should Do This More Often was born.
Not from a place of arrival, but from a place of real life. From that deep desire to give women a space where they don’t have to perform, pretend, or filter their faith to make it palatable.
We wanted a space for the women who didn’t have what we needed. The ones who have questions but still love Jesus. The ones who feel like they’ve outgrown surface-level faith but are scared to say it out loud. The ones who just want someone to sit with them in the messy middle.
We want people to join in on the conversations — to laugh, to cry, to reflect, to feel seen.
But more than that?
We want to challenge people:
To get real with themselves.
To get real with the people they can trust.
And most of all — to get real with God.
Our tagline says it best:
Unbelievable stories. Unexpected honesty. Unfiltered faith. Uncensored fun.
We’re here for the woman who loves Jesus but sometimes questions things. For the one who’s been hurt by church people but still believes in grace. For the one who can quote scripture and still fall apart at the end of the day. For the one who feels like she has to have it all together — and desperately needs a reminder that she doesn’t.

We’re showing up messy. Grateful. Humbled.
And honestly? A little terrified.
But also — expectant.
Because we believe God is going to use this.
Not because we’re amazing. But because He is.
So if you’ve ever felt like the only one walking through your mess…
If you’ve ever thought, “Is it just me?” —
This podcast is for you.
You’re not crazy.
You’re not too much.
You’re not alone.
And girl…
We really should do this more often.
